KATHMANDU: Ramkala Khadka has been elected the President of Working Women Journalists (WWJ). She was the Vice-President of the previous Committee.

The 12th annual general meeting and seventh convention of the WWJ concluded here on Saturday, electing a 12-member executive committee led by Khadka. Chanda Bista has been elected the Vice-President, Ramita Kumari Lama General Secretary, Rukmini Pokharel Secretary, and Deepa Ale Treasurer.

Sangita Lama has been picked as a special member while Ambika Rajthala, Sony Sharma, Shobha Manandhar, Sita BK, Rupa Khadka, and Laxmi Basnet are the members. The event was held in the presence of Bagamati province minister for social development, Hari Prabha Khadgi.
